I am a forty-something Registered Nurse, happily married since 1989, with a wonderful, dynamic wife and a creative, compassionate, and loving son in his mid-twenties. My patient descriptions and anecdotes are always slightly altered or combined to protect privacy.

The original—and ongoing—incarnation of Digital Doorway exists on the Blogger platform. That version sports a listing of other blogs and websites which might be of interest, and a few other interesting tidbits.

Originally interested in pursuing a career in the visual arts (or writing or music), my disposition has led me to a life in healthcare and service, for better or worse.

My life’s goal is to live a simple, community- and service-oriented existence in Central America with my lovely wife, some goats, some dogs, good friends, good wine, an organic garden, and a pile of books (and a laptop with a fast Internet connection, of course!)
